customs and religion (...to what the future holds)

There is only so much to wonder about in this world. So much of what we deal with day to day is related to "outdated" traditions, yet these "rules of our father" that we cling so dearly to does little but cause more pain and does nothing to help us improve our lives...

We have a religious fundamentalist (yes, Osama Bin Laden) and his extremist bent on his religion that seems intent on destroying the US and all that it stands for...

Now this is what upsets me, the republican leadership of this country is intent on going a different route than the norm with their "retaliation." First the choice to attack an unarmed populace and lie about all the reasoning to do so... Now why would you think that is so? For the contracts? For revenge? Some many reasons, so little time.

Can someone please explain to me why there are troops in Iraq? Can someone please explain to me why several members of the Bin Laden family were shuttled out of the country on 9/12? Can someone please explain to me why Arab and Jews hate each other based on the "tradition" that ones father is the bastard son and the other was the chosen son...?

Trial by circumstance... (soldiers are put under pressure, so they torture prisoners in Iraq? Or they did it because they were ordered to? Then we have Israeli soldiers shooting Palestinian children because they taunt them? The Israeli assertion that there was no Palestine? What about the philistines? They have become the Palestinians... and they were there before David... but the Jews need their land too... ) the ends justify the means?

This is why I do not believe in religion, or any organization of people that promotes hate above love and ignorance above acceptance... fear is the motivation of hate... fear, and admiration in all my estimation... When you are young, you hate those you wish to be like because they have more than you do. When you get older you hate either out of repetition or fear...

One tires of the pain and one tires of the hate... what ever happened to "Peace and Good Will To All"?
