The lack of informed people is starting to finally get to me...

I look at the political climate and the apathy of people my age and get frustrated beyond all belief... I don't understand why the average person will vote on american idol but won't vote in a local, state or federal election... Is there NO impetus to change? I wonder why people won't open their eyes, never mind study our history, look at what we are doing, we make our own problems, or our leadership does... We gave Osama his weapons, we gave Saddam his, which he destroyed, then there was the Iran contra scandal, and now Negroponte, never mind all the other people that helped cause problems for us in the middle east in our past the current administration is pulling out to give jobs to in Iraq and on the homefront... I mean shit, what has to happen to get people to realize that the problem is who we have in office now, and that the only way we will achieve peace and make safety for ourselves is to remove the extremists we have in office and replace them with people that will not continually lie to the public and manipulate the media to further the lies ... Perception is 9/10ths reality and the largest cause of misperception is the ignorance to fact.
