the day i tried to live (...one more time around)

I dunno what the Soundgarden lyric was for.... I just felt the necessity to write... anything... oddly those two lines were the first to come to mind.

A new Fear Factory album came out... I haven't heard it yet... but I thought they broke up. I guess that's what happens when you are out of the loop.

If anyone stopped by The NIN Hotline then they know that Danny Carey is going to be on the new Skinny Puppy album... I can't wait to hear it, but what I am really looking for is something by VOLTO (Danny Carey, Kirk Covington, & John Z of Pigmy Love Circus) if anyone knows where I can find a copy of anything they've released let me know...

The news is pretty much the same today as yesterday (aha! that is where the lyric came from)... except the Vatican making an announcement that infuriates me, but then again this just reinforces my assertion that religion is an institution created by men in power to keep the masses under their control. Look, I am not saying there is no god, all I am saying is that militant enforcement of ones ideal by invoking the name of the almighty CANNOT be what He intended.

Anyway, on to the Vatican announcement thing: Cardinal Francis Arinze spoke at a news conference to launch a new Vatican directive clamping down on liturgical abuses in Mass which bars lay people from giving sermons, non-Catholics from taking communion and rites of other religions from being introduced in the service... he went on to say that priests must deny communion to Catholic politicians who support abortion rights, but stopped short of saying whether it was right for John Kerry to receive communion. (source: Victor L. Simpson; Salon.com) also see this artice: Talk about a bully pulpit (also Salon.com)

This leads me to the Womans' Right to Choose (abortion) march this weekend... mind you, I am not pro abortion, but I am certainly pro choice... and feel that whatever anyone wishes to do with their own body should be respected... Whatever path in life you choose, or moral high-ground you think you have, until you have had to choose you shouldn't judge anyone else's choices. Judge not lest thee be judged... but I guess the church forgot... (sorry, I know I thought I was done with the Vatican thing too... but it just has me so heated.)

So on to John Kerry: Kerry shows support for abortion rights <-----the AP article.

RIP Soldiers, both in the war we shouldn't be fighting and to Soldiers in the War against Terrorism

And finally: Former Governer George W. Bush, if you are going to use flag draped coffins in your "re"election campaign you have no right to disallow the "free" press to print pictures of the coffins of unidentified soldiers coming back from you and your fathers war... yeah, yeah, i am off base, blah, blah... but it is "iraqi freedom" that you said we were fighting for and it is my freedom to question your true motives. and don't get me started about the Saudi Royal Family...

i dunno... it's 4 am... so i am going to give up the fight for tonight...
